What is The Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education A national membership organization composed of 100+ agencies and institutions supporting entrepreneurship education as a lifelong learning process. Member organizations represent over 40,000 teachers that annually reach at least 2 million students nationwide. Our mission is to incorporate entrepreneurship education within all disciplines, to infuse students with the entrepreneurial mindset, and encourage our members to work together to create educational opportunities to meet the demands of a global economy. We believe that entrepreneurs are not “born”, but rather they “become” through the experiences of their lives. Learn more about the Consortium's Mission and White Paper. The Consortium publishes a quarterly newsletter "EntrepreNews & Views". The Current Issue is now available with an emphasis on National Entrepreneurship Week. Why are there two Celebrations for Entrepreneurship Week in 2008? The Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education voted to continue the momentum established in the first annual National Entrepreneurship Week by hosting National Entrepreneurship Week again in February, 2008, 2009, 2010, etc., encouraging participation by all organizations interested in implementing the message from the U S House of Representatives in June 2006. The Kauffman Foundation decided to promote Global Entrepreneurship Week in November, 2008 in partnership with the UK Enterprise Week which is held every November. In July, 2007, we posted this letter of invitation and explanation on our website that we have also sent to all of our networks. It is good to have multiple ways to celebrate the value added by entrepreneurship education. We encourage you to Celebrate in the time that works best for you and your organization or celebrate both!
